Juno Flyby

October 9th, 2013

It has been a while since I’ve updated but unlike other times, I haven’t been observing. I’ve been really busy doing a number of other things including building a homemade autonomous weather station, installing and configuring a full fledged custom home security system, and have dabbled with hobby electronics.

Tonight, I’m getting ready to begin watching the series ‘From the Earth to the Moon’ but before that, I’m going to catch a glimpse of the Juno mission as it flies by Earth on its way to Jupiter! It’ll make its closest approach over South Africa so I won’t be able to see it in person. I’m instead watching it online at Slooh.com – which I recently found out about and really need to look into more. Slooh looks like it might be something interesting to pursue…

Anyways, 1 minute and counting! Just wanted to catch up while I waited for the show to start…
