Moonbeam

FREEZING! Seriously…

Tonight, the Moon and Jupiter are very close; within a moon diameter – two at most.  Tried to image them in the same frame but my equipment didn’t allow for that. (Thank goodness my new camera/telescope adapters are coming in tomorrow!) Anyways, got two good shots out of the evening despite the cold.

The first is just a pretty cool shot of the moon – best I’ve done so far, I think. And the other is of Jupiter and it’s moons hanging in the glow of Earth’s moon. Since they were so close and the Moon is so bright, the glare from the moon bled over while I was trying to image Jupiter. I thought it turned out pretty cool!
