-I’m making it a point from now on that I have to make an entry in this journal every single time I observe, even if I’m only out here for a few minutes – even if I only write the date and time!!
-Ok, so tonight is a relatively clear night (for a humid summer night) and I FINALLY have my mount properly aligned, guidescope working and guiding, and basically everything exactly how I imagined/wished it to be. I’ve done some imaging with the Meade DSI II Pro but I want to try the Canon T3 tonight. We’ll see how it goes.

Everything’s working great! Autoguide scope is working (although I wish I had darker skies to pick out better stars to track better). Backyard EOS software is working great and I’m able to capture images with my Canon interfacing with my computer. And I’m getting some pretty decent images of M22 & M57. Hopefully I’ll be able to do some good post-processing on them and really bring out the objects.
-The (almost) full moon is on its way up so I’m going to call it a night. Wonderful night though! Everything’s working!!
